Before we look at the UH system in more detail, you need to know how the training guide is structured.

This guide provides an illustrated overview of each 'module' of the UH system by using a step by step approach to demonstrate functionality. Throughout the guide the business processes behind the functionality is fully explained with applied examples.

The guide contains six sections, as shown above in the header section adjacent to the Universal Housing logo. The current section is always displayed below the L&Q Group logo in the top right of the header.

Each section contains "How do I?" titles on the left, which explains the most popular topics within the current section. Additional or a list of all topics are shown at the bottom of each page.

To view a particular topic, click the topic title. The topic title will be displayed above the "How do I?" bar along with context below. All links within the context of each topic are displayed in blue, whilst visited links are displayed in purple.

Various icons are used throughout the training guide for your assistance. Icons are placed next to text to indicate important or helpful items. Here is a list of the icons and their functions.

	Tips -provides you with extra information in performing a task.
	Cross-references - indicates places where you can find more information on a particular topic.
	Warnings - warns of a potential problem or pitfall.
	Business Rule - relevant business rules related to the UH system
